About: Vasu is an avid environmentalist who is actively involved in backcountry/alpine skiing, soccer, skateboarding/longboarding, rock climbing, hiking, camping, kayaking and alpinism. He has been a right leg amputee for 22 years, but that hasn’t stopped him from being an adaptive 3-track skier. He has been an alpine skier for 13 years and a backcountry skier for four.
Kudos: Vasu is the recipient of the Flyin’ Ryan Foundation Adventure Scholarship Recipient (USA) September 2014 and came in 2nd place in Columbia Sportswear Ski Bum Scholarship (USA). He placed 14th out of 73 at Mad River Glen Unconventional Terrain Competition (USA) February 2014. He has been featured in publications such as Powder Magazine (USA), Seven Days (VT) and Backcountry Magazine for adaptive backcountry skiing.
