About: Born and raised in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, Ashley fell in love with sliding on snow at a young age. She started skiing at 2 years old and ski racing at 5. She loved the way a perfect turn makes her feel. However, it wasn’t until she was in college in Montana that she really got to explore how amazing it felt to ski on a big mountain. Since 2006, Ashley has been coaching both skiing and soccer. She loves sharing her knowledge and watching those she teaches grow. She hopes that her teaching and skiing can help her be a role model for the upcoming generations. Ashley still has strong ties to her home state though, and comes back to Vermont during the off-season.
Kudos: This will be Ashley’s 5th season competing on the world stage and her third on the Freeride World Tour. Since her win at the Ski the East Freeride Tour at Jay Peak in 2010, Ashley has placed 1st through 5th and sometimes even won the free ride competitions she has entered worldwide. This winter she will also be helping out with the Jay Peak Junior Freeride Team.
On the Socks: Ashley loves Darn Tough Vermont products. They are the only socks she competes in!
