The run is similar to an urban adventure scavengar hunt, and the rules are simple: Each participant is given the first checkpoint at the beginning of the run. When you arrive at each checkpoint you will be given a raffle ticket and the location of your next checkpoint. At each checkpoint there will be a Fit Right representative that will give you a raffle ticket that can be used at the drawing at the end of the event (7pm).

  • Durango, CO: Narrow Guage Race – May 25th, 2008
The 31st Annual Narrow Gauge Run begins in historic Durango and follows the scenic River Trail north before ascending North College and Rim Drives to the Fort Lewis College campus. • Keene Valley, NY: Great Adirondack Trail Run – June 21st, 2008
There are two runs: an 11.5 mile strenuous run (2900′ of vertical gain and 3100′ of loss) up the back side of Hopkins Mountain and down to Keene Valley via the private roads off of Beede Rd, and a 3.2 mile fun run from Baxter Mountain Tavern to Keene Valley. This charity event supports the Au Sable and Bouquet River Associations, provides an educational opportunity for children and adults about our sensitive river ecosystems and gives our guests and locals alike a chance to enjoy the mountains, get some exercise and celebrate the spring and black fly season before the summer arrives and the trails get busy. Stop by The Mountaineer to find our more.
  • Vermont: 100on100 Relay – August 16, 2008
The 100on100 Relay is a team based distance running experience. The event starts early in the morning and most participants finish between 8:30 PM-10:30 PM. The total distance is 100 miles and the course follows scenic route 100 the entire way. Our course displays all the angles Vermont has to offer from small towns and farms, to mountains and lakes. This event serves as a charity fundraiser for Vermont based youth charities that promote active and healthy lifestyles in support of self-esteem development.
  • Montana: Gnarly Dude(ette) Race Series – Starts in June. See website for exact race dates.
This is a Montana wide race series . Each race occurs at least mostly on mountain trails. Schnee’s Boot and Shoes will donate a pair of running shoes to the series winners (female/male). Other prizes are likely for such things as completing the most races, the most distance and whatever else sounds good and is supported by prizes. The series is composed of completing four of the qualifying races in at least two regions, one qualifying race being 20 miles or longer. Top male and female finishers of the series will be rewarded with material sponsorship from Darn Tough Vermont.
